Clifford A. Kurtz, age 96, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on August 23, 2017. Cliff was raised in Hudson, Michigan, graduating from Hudson High School in 1938. He attended the University of Michigan and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Toledo, where he was the recipient of the Wall Street Journal Award. Cliff served as a pilot with the U.S. Navy Corp and was employed with the Jeep Corporation and American Motors in various management positions for over 30 years before retiring in the late 1970s. He enjoyed his cottage on Devils Lake, being outdoors, and travelling with his wife and family. Cliff was also an avid reader and supporter of U of M athletics. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and leaves a legacy of joy, love, and devotion to his family. Cliff leaves behind his sons, Phillip, Jeffrey (MaryAnn), and Roger; grandchildren, Brian (Mallory), Ainsley, Bradley, and Timothy; and great-grandchildren, Elyse Evelyn and Charlie Adam. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ruth E. (Schaiberger) Kurtz, parents, and a sister. Services will be private. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Linda Wotring Home for their loving care of Cliff, and they suggest any memorial donations be directed to the facility, 2437 Knights Hill Ln, Toledo, OH 43614.
