Cleo (Howey) Lawniczak, left us on May 24, 2026.
Cleo embraced her Catholic faith and found great fulfillment in her work with the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). She was a devoted opera enthusiast and never missed an opportunity to attend performances by the Metropolitan Opera when they came to Cleveland.
Cleo also enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to visit Italy and England, as well as take many memorable trips throughout the United States.
Cleo is survived by her sister, Gloria Hogan, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond; her parents, Roy Howey and Pauline Eudy; her siblings, Suzy Kirkbride and Lionel Keith Gehring; and her nephews, Tim Kirkbride, Michael Hogan, and Bob Hogan.
Cleo will be remembered for her faith, her love of music and travel, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.
A Memorial Service will be held at Saint John XXIII, Perrysburg, Ohio, on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 11:00 am.
