Clarence Brahier of Waterville, Ohio, passed away at the age of 97, surrounded by family on March 22, 2026. Born in Sandusky, Ohio on December 17, 1928, he was the first of two sons of Clarence and Esther Brahier. The family moved to Maumee when he was a very young boy. He graduated from Maumee HS in 1946. In 1948, he married Evelyn "Evie" Morgan from Perrysburg, Ohio; they were married for 73 years.

Clarence was an excellent auto mechanic, operating his own service station (along with his dad) in Maumee for many years, retiring in 1985. He was also an outstanding woodworker. His life's dream of owning a farm was realized in 1976 when they moved to McClure, Ohio. In 2012, they found their final home in Waterville, Ohio.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Clarence spent countless hours fishing and hunting both locally and at the family cabin in Eau Claire, Ontario. When he first met Evie, he told her, "I like to hunt and fish a little," an understatement to say the least.

He loved his family fiercely and was an exceptionally patient father and grandfather to small children and imparted good lessons to all of them that served them well into their adulthood.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and brother, his wife, and most recently, his daughter, Barb Klee.

He is survived by his children, Cheryl (Jim) Campbell, Peggy (Larry) Strawn, Joey (Mark) Baer, and Dave (Cindy) Brahier; son-in-law, Roger Klee; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and five great, great- grandchildren.
