Clara P. Craig

Clara Craig, passed on to glory peacefully on August 25, 2024 at the age of 83.

Clara was wife to Jimmy Craig; mother to Allan Maguire (Kathryn Maguire), Jeffery Maguire (Michelle Maguire), Kevan Maguire (Mary Anderson), Pearl Hallock and Ross Maguire (Christina Maguire); grandmother to Lisa Maguire, Jessica Lawson, Joanna Hurley, Steven Maguire, Jennifer Bundy, Aaron Maguire, Kevan Maguire,Jr., Brittney Colby, Brooke Holcomb, Susanne Drawe, Kelly Ann LaPalm, Brendan Maguire, Drew Maguire, and Anna Maguire. Clara was also a great-grandmother as well to 16 beloved and wonderful great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy; son, Kevan; and her granddaughter, Kelly Ann.

Clara was born to Victor and Pearl Lalonde in River Rouge, Michigan on January 11, 1941. She worked the majority of her adult years in child care. Clara had a daycare at her home and also worked as a nanny to many Oakland County families over the years. She was known for her generous heart, sense of humor and her love for and faith in Jesus Christ.

On behalf of our family, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff and administrators at St. Clare Commons of Perrysburg, Ohio. I would also extend our warmest gratitude to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the compassion and professionalism shown in the care of Clara.

A memorial service to celebrate Clara's life will be held at St. Clare Commons Chapel at 1 pm on Saturday, September 7th, 2024.
