Christopher S. Haynes

April 17, 1975 — April 14, 2022

Christopher Shawn Haynes departed from this earth on April 14th, 2022. Chris was born in Findlay, OH on April 17th, 1975 to Norman and Gloria Haynes. He is survived by his immediate family of: wife Erin Vandergrift Haynes of Lambertville, MI, Parents Dan & Gloria Powers of Toledo, OH, siblings Norman E. Haynes, Ryon L. Thornton and his wife Melissa Thornton, Daniel Powers and Chris’s children: son Jack Haynes a Bedford Graduate of 2022, Ashley Taylor of Findlay, OH and step children Taylor Meehan currently residing in Seattle, WA and Ethan Nicholas Round currently residing in Ann Arbor, MI. Chris enjoyed his work in the cable and communications industry and was a well liked and respected Supervisor of Technical Operations at Buckeye Cable. Prior to being promoted, Chris had an extensive background in laying fiber, running lines, and was a dependable technician with Buckeye Cable. Chris completed two bachelor's degrees from Owens Community College while working with Buckeye and was a member of Phi Kappa Honor Society. He enjoyed playing the drums and was very good! One of the largest venues they performed at was Battle Of The Bands locally with over 10,000 in attendance. He was a serious history buff. He was a great cook, in particular when using his prized Cast Iron Skillet he had seasoned to perfection. Chris was altruistic, and even played Santa for his Mother’s Day care at one point, ironic to the beard he sported at his time of death along with his handlebar mustache, often receiving kudos from fellow beard goers. He lived life to the fullest, and was an entertainer by nature while still maintaining a reserved demeanor. The perfect blend! He was silly, playful, charismatic, intelligent, and an excellent dancer. Who could have asked for more? The family would like to thank everyone for their support during these difficult days. You were my right hand man, my confidant, my best friend, my dance partner - my daily everything. Words could never express how much you will be missed by all, especially me. Thank you my love for who you were, for growing with me and everything you gave, I will forever be grateful for our slice of time together and the safe place we created for one another the best we could. Your wife, Your love. Your friend, until we meet again. I love you, I love you, I love you!
