Christine S. Smella

Christine Suzanne Smella, age 52, born in Summit, New Jersey, to David Damiano and Suzann Kuhns, on October 14th, 1972, passed away in her home on February 8th, 2025.

Christine was a beloved doting mother and grandmother to four children and two grandchildren. Christine went above and beyond the duties of a mother to raise, protect and support her children and grandchildren. Christine put everything she had into taking care of her family and for that she is loved dearly and will always be remembered for the joy and comfort she brought to those that she touched. Christine enjoyed the simple things in life vacationing in Amish country, the color pink, horror movies and New Jersey style thin crust pizza. Christine had many things that she enjoyed, these only being some of her favorites.

Christine is survived by life partner, Martin Smella; their children, daughter, Kimberly and sons, Nicholas, Kyle and Tyler; grandchildren, Mitchell and Serenity; mother, Suzann Kuhns; brothers, David, Kenny, Gary jr. and Jason; many nieces and nephews. Christine was preceded in death by her stepfather, Gary Kuhns.

Christine will be cremated at the Cremation Society of Toledo and a small private family gathering will follow.
