Christine Shippen

Christine "Chris" Shippen passed away peacefully the morning of Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the age of 80. Chris was known for her gentle heart and ability to bring joy to all those around her. During this her favorite time of year, she always found time for smiles, love and kids. Chris was a gift to all she knew and loved. It is not in doing what you like, but in liking what you do, that is the secret of happiness. We all saw the expression of bliss each time a new grandchild was born, or while tending flowers in her garden. Chris enjoyed a multitude of rainy afternoons at the bookstore, and walks on the Pass~a~grille Beach. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her husband Michael, children; Victoria, Spencer (Ellen), Michael Jr. (Kitty), and James, grandchildren; Jennifer, Michael C. (Kathryn), Alexander, Thomas (Emily), John (Emily), Alex, William (Molly), Morgan, Christian, and Breann, and great grandchildren Audrey, Ulrik, Michael, and Alexander. Memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or to The 577 Foundation in Perrysburg, Ohio. "So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever...." A Celebration of Life Dinner will be held at a date yet to be determined.
