Christine Marie Nevers

Christine Marie Nevers (Frederick) passed away peacefully at home on February 26 at the age of 59 years old. She was born July 3, 1963 in Toledo, OH to Charles Frederick Jr. & Mary Lou Alcock.

Chris attended Bedford Schools. She worked at Harold Newspapers for 21 years, before changing careers to work at Cole Orthotics and Prosthetics where she was employed until 2012. At that time her ongoing fight against breast cancer and pancreatic cancer became her focus.

Chris enjoyed watching wildlife while sitting on her deck, going to craft shows, watching cooking shows, and going on vacation.

Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Frederick and Mary Lou Alcock; brother Todd Frederick; beloved pup Gizmoe, and Granddogs, Duke and Addie. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, James Nevers Jr; children, Felicia Schmidt, Donny (Kaylee Hendrick) Schmidt; sisters, Laura (John) Sorrell, Danelle (Paul) Zemenski, Debbie Schmidt, Dana (Dave) Copciac; and Granddogs, Teddy, Wrigley, Willow, Hotsauce, and Rex. She also has many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces/nephews that held a special place in her heart.

Chris’s wishes were to be cremated and to not have a funeral service, in which those wishes will be respected.
