Chris Weissenberger

Chris Weissenberger, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2020. He was born to Dale and Mary Jo Weissenberger on January 21, 1987 in Toledo, Ohio. Chris met the love of his life, Michelle Weissenberger, at the age of 18. They were together for 15 years and married for 6.5 years. Chris and Michelle had a great relationship that was always full of laughter. Chris made a point of fixing Michelles covers every night at bedtime: they always took random, long drives to the middle of nowhere; they sent each other funny text messages at the most inappropriate times and they always completed home improvement projects together. Chris always told Michelle that if they ever had a daughter he was going to be the one to name her. When Michelle found out she was pregnant with a little girl Chris was so excited and just knew he was going to get his wish of naming their daughter. Their beautiful daughter Elle Addison Weissenberger (the name Chris just had to have) was born on September 18, 2012. Chris was a loving man with a great sense of humor. He was always poking fun at someone; buying crazy gag gifts for everyone and cracking jokes. He was an avid Detroit Lions fan and probably owned every piece of Detroit Lions clothing ever made. Chris was OCD about his lawn-it had to be perfect; he was so proud of his trenches from edging. He enjoyed working on cars and he tinkered with everything else. If there was a way to fix something, he was going to figure it out and get it done. Get togethers where he could play cards against humanity or uno and drink apple pie or have shots “just for fun”, were his favorite. Chris would fill out the blank cards against humanity cards with the stupidest things (dat ass though!) that would make everyone laugh. Chris worked at Toledo Jeep since 2014. He truly enjoyed his job and found work that he really loved doing. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Dale Weissenberger. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Michelle Weissenberger; daughter, Elle Weissenberger; mother, Mary Jo Weissenberger; mother-in-law Deborah (Tim) Lahote; siblings, Derek (Amanda) Weissenberger, Megan (Donte) Miller, Matthew Weissenberger; siblings-in-law Megan (Joe) Marmol, Becky (Adam) Hall: nieces and nephews, Serina, Raven, Amayah, Annessia, Alexandria, Alijah, Olivia, Owen and Ayden. Chris is also survived by a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Memorial gathering will be held Saturday October 3rd, 2020, 2-8pm at Kotz Hall (Regina Coeli), 530 Regina Parkway, Toledo OH, 43612.
