Charlotte E. Green

Charlotte E. Green, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 24, 2022 in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Louisville, KY to Mack and Cassie Smith but lived most of her childhood in Monroe, Michigan growing up. She married her husband Haskell “Dave” Green on July 16, 1960. Charlotte loved spending time with her family including her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a woman of faith and the heart of her large family. She enjoyed spending time at bible study with her church group and possessed a true servant’s heart. Charlotte faithfully cared for her family throughout her life and was a gift to those around her. She had a contagious smile that could light up the room. She gained much joy from playing games like “Candy Crush” and singing loudly to her “Hillbilly” music as she called it. Charlotte is survived by her sister Joan (Ron) and the 3 children she raised, daughter, Laura; son, David (Kristine); and granddaughter Jessica (Phil). She had 8 additional grandchildren, Jackie (Jeremy), Jack (Lauren), John, David, Chelsea, Jacob, Alexa and Joe. She also had 9 great grandchildren and they all brought her so much joy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Haskell “Dave” Green. Her parents Mack and Cassie Smith and her remaining 7 siblings, Juanita, Jean, Louis, James “Ducky”, Kenny, Toni and Alan. A Memorial Service for close family and friends will be held on March 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the home of her granddaughter at 14781 Woodside Dr. Graytown, OH. The family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to thank individually, but including: Promedica Hospice, her Cedar Creek Church family and the many friends and family – either through prayer and/or visits. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Cedar Creek Church, which had become like a second home to Charlotte.
