Charles "Chuck" E. Williams, 96, born June 20, 1928 to Mary (Weaver) and Orman Williams but raised by loving grandparents, Mary and Charles Baker. He attended Good Shepherd parish and school plus Central Catholic and Macomber High Schools.
He was a man of deep faith and deep love for his family. Especially his wife of 76 years, Mary Ellen (Ruff).
He was employed by The Libbey-Owen's-Ford Co. and the Fuller Brush Co. for 30 years. In 1976, they moved to Pompano Beach, Florida to operate the Holiday Coin Laundry for 12 years. A villa in Deerfield Beach Florida was then home for 8 more years but they returned to Toledo in 1989 to be with family.
Three sons, Ronnie, Ric and infant Williams preceded him in death and they are now reunited along with parents, grandparents, a sister, and cherished uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; his daughter, Maggie (Randy) Hiszak and grandchildren, Jessica (Tom) Podhola, Cori McCarthy (Jeff Levers), and Brandon Williams; daughter-in-law, Tina Williams; and six great grandchildren, Levi, Maddox, Cooper, Maggie, Ivy, and Layla. All of whom will miss his gentle and so very witty personality.
He was a joyful soul who loved his family and friends intensely and completely if you were lucky enough to be loved by him. Among his favorites were ice cream (gotta be vanilla), lemon pies, fancy cars and his collection of four razors!
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Historic St. Patrick Church, 130 Avondale, Toledo, OH at 11:00 am, with visitation an hour prior at 10:00 am.
Many thanks to St Clare Commons and Heartland Hospice for their care and support.
His parting words were often "it's a Be-U-tiful day", and "I'm gonna leave you now"!!
Rest in heavenly peace!
