After beinghonorably discharged fromthe Navy, he began a careerworking on numerousfreighters on the GreatLakes, eventually retiringfrom the Olglebay Norton.Charles is survived by hisfiance, Joanne Reno; daughters:Carla Jarvis (DavidCoon) and Sally Van Coppenolle;grandchildren: BruceV. Jarvis Jr., Krista Clark andClayton LaBelle; stepchildren:Don, David andMark Reno, Karen (Mark)Hebler, Chris (Bill) Case,Cindy (Bob) Welniak, Kathy(Jim) Biblewski and manymore step-grandchildren andstep-great grandchildren. Heis also survived by sisters:Alberta Haupricht andJoanne Burroughs.Memorial contributions inhis name can be made to theCancer Society or Lake ParkHospice.
