Charles A. Stoner

Charles “Chuck” Allan Stoner passed away October 16, 2022 at the age of 74. Chuck was born on November 9, 1947 at Mercy Hospital to Marjorie (May) and Jesse Stoner. He was a 1965 graduate of DeVilbiss High School, where he was awarded City Honorable Mention of their baseball team his senior year.

Chuck was a Hospital Corpsman Second Class for the United States Navy from May 13, 1969 to May 13, 1975. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Toledo in 1976. He then became employed at Modern Builders Supply as their Accounts Executive and Collection Manager. He retired from MBS in 2007. Chuck enjoyed walks in the area metro parks, reading, building models, many talks and outings with his friends, along with watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in various sporting and school events.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Darcy (Brian) Layne; son, David (Nickie) Stoner; sister, Marcia (Terry) Grodi; brother, Tim (Carice) Stoner; five grandchildren, Kelsey, Justin, Dezirae, Alexys, and Kaden; five great-grandchildren, Kylah, Daniel, Tieg, Drew, and Carson and his dear friends, Jim and Pat Saelzler. He has several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
