Charles E. Steele

Charles Elliott Steele, age 75, departed this world on October 19, 2024. Charles was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lucille and Dewitt Steele and his brother, William George.

Charles was a 1967 graduate of Jessup W. Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio. After graduation he worked as a collector for Ohio Bell. He left Ohio Bell and started working as a truck driver for Schneider National Trucking which was the start of a 40-year truck driving career. He left Schneider National Trucking and started his owner operator over the road truck driving business. He is a retired member of Teamster Local 20. He enjoyed traveling across the United States with his family. He especially like road trips.

Charles was a lifetime member of Braden United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda (Hodges) Steele; children, Angela Hodges, Charles K. "Chuckie" Steele, Carla Steele, and Brenda (Robert) Walker; grandchildren, Robin A. Walker, Anthony Tyrone Elliott Hines and Rashawn A. Walker; brother, Steven George; special cousins, Sisters-in-law, Brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to send a special Thank You to Southern Care Hospice of Toledo and The Cremation Society of Toledo.

At the request of Charles, he will be cremated without any services.
