Charles Schmidt passed away on Oct. 26, 2014. Born in Oregon, OH, Chuck was the son of Charles and Mary Schmidt. He graduated from Clay High School in 1956 and went on to attend Miami University of Ohio and the University of Toledo. Chuck owned and operated Kimberly Cleaners in Temperance, MI for 27 years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Sherry, daughter Kim Dulbs-Pinkelman (Craig), grandchildren Samantha, Matthew, Michael and sister, Nanette Prosser. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he was very active in every aspect of their lives. They adored their papa and loved him like a father. A long-time member of the Bedford Rotary Club he was a recipient of the Paul Harris award for Rotarian Service. Chuck loved to travel and was an avid skier and golfer, playing many courses in Ireland and Scotland and won many club tournaments. A memorial will be held on November 16, 2014 at the Bedford Hills Golf Club from 1:00 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to 1-Heart, a local organization created to inspire hope, alleviate human suffering, and provide the best care to every heart patient, using the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
