Charles A. McAfee Sr.

Charles Allen McAfee, Sr., 75, of Fremont, Ohio, passed away on February 22, 2026.
He was born on March 12, 1950, in Decatur, Indiana, to Harold McAfee and Ellen McAfee (Rassi).
He was a high school graduate and spent much of his life devoted to his family. Charles had an appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time camping, where he found peace and simple joy in nature.
Charles is survived by his son, Charles McAfee, Jr.; his daughter, Cathleen (Brian) Bowman; his brothers, Michael Burgess and Harlow "Skeeter" Hahn; and his sisters, Paula Booher, Becky Lou Burgess, and JoEllen White.
Charles will be remembered for the quiet moments shared with loved ones and the memories created along the way.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles Sr.'s name can be made to St. Jude or the Sandusky County Humane Society; both were very important to him.
