Charles E. Chuck Hottle

November 27, 1953 — July 25, 2020

Charles “Chuck” Eugene Hottle, 66, of Toledo, OH passed away suddenly at his home. Mr. Hottle was born Nov. 27th, 1953 to Clinton and Anne Hottle (Fejes) and brother to Deborah Mezinko. Chuckles graduated from Rogers High School and then enlisted in the US Army receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1977. He then continued his education at Owens Technical College, graduating in 1981 with an Associates Degree in Banking and Finance Technology. Fasha was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Judith “Judy” Hottle (Hoskinson), whom he loved with all of his heart and never stopped loving her even after her passing. He is survived by his three wonderful and good looking children, Anthony Hottle, Emily Fountain, and Beth Uddin. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and buying his grandchildren giant slushies before a two hour car ride home. Well played, Dad. Thank you to his coworkers and customers at Garda where he was an Armed Messenger for 15 years before recently retiring. Dad always had entertaining work stories. Thank you to the Cremation Society of Toledo for helping us with mom’s past arrangements and now our Father’s. He also loved dark humor, but my sister said not to put in a cremation joke so here is a dad joke: If I had 50 cents for every math exam I failed, I would have $6.30. In lieu of funeral services the family asks you to remember the good moments. Those wishing to honor his life can make a donation to the charity of their choice in his name. To Dad: We will be ok. You can enjoy your retirement traveling with mom, but please don’t travel to my house and haunt it because I called you Chuckles. Say hi to Mom and Fred for us. Love you always.
