Charles Lee Grindle passed away on Sunday November 30, 2025, at the age of 70 in his home. He was survived by his wife Candace Bisbee-Grindle, with whom he shared 19 1/2 years of marriage.
Though born in East St. Louis, he spent most of his life in Toledo, OH. He graduated from Woodward High School, and Owen’s Community College with a business degree.
He was a well-known handyman and jack of all trades and was employed with Perrysburg Machine and Tool as a Maintenance Millwright before retirement.
He is survived by his wife Candace; children, Emma (Tony) Taylor, Alex (Alexis) Cassada, Sarah (Josh) Haugh; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Eleanor Grindle; his daughter, Heather Hellen Grindle; his sisters, Linda and Merri; and pets, Pepper and Penelope.
Services will be held at Whiteford Wesleyan Church, Friday, at 6 pm, and a second service at Point Place United Church of Christ, Sunday, at 1 pm. His ashes will possibly have to wait until Spring if the ground is too cold/frozen.
