Charles Chip Edwin Campbell died Friday,”September 29, 2017 at St. Lukes Hospital following a brief illness. He leaves his wife, Sandra (Hennig) Campbell; mother, Janet (Hanni) Campbell;”sister, Connie (Campbell) Hockman and brother-in-law, Michael Hockman; his son, Noah Campbell and daughter-in-law, Courtney Campbell; son, Kurt Campbell and daughter-in-law,”Meredith Campbell; son, Scott Campbell;”three grandchildren, step children, nieces, cousins and many close friends and colleagues. Born in Toledo and raised in Livonia, Michigan he was the son of the late Charles E. Campbell and Janet (Hanni) Campbell. He is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and Bowling Green State University. Chip spent his adult life working in Northwest Ohio where he began his career as a school psychologist and continued working in a variety of mental health facilities. Throughout his career he maintained a private practice, most recently in Perrysburg. Additionally, he taught at Bowling Green State University and Owens Community College. Chip had a deep love of music, he took special joy in listening to his sons sing. He developed an affinity for the music of Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys, watching them in concert many times. He had a lifelong fascination with trains and train travel, taking several trips. He also had a passion and allegiance for the Detroit Lions, the Detroit Red Wings and all things to do with University of Michigan football. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. Timothys Episcopal Church 871 E. Boundary St. Perrysburg, Ohio.
