Charles Old Man Austin, Sr.

The Old Man passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family, dogs, Reno and Mud, and his special grandson, Jeffrey. He was born in Knoxville, TN to Herman and Ethel Austin. He married Corine F. (Russell) Austin in 1964. He served our community for many years, first as a garbage man, and later as the owner of Charlies Towing. Charles really enjoyed working on cars, racing and fishing. Charles is survived by his sons, Robert, Tommy (Melinda), and Anthony (Amber); daughters, Missy and Kimberly; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy; brothers, George (Lorene) and Herman (Sherree); and a host of many more loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corine; son, Charlie, Jr.; grandson, Christopher; daughter, Sharon; brother, Eddie; sisters, Dorothy and Betty; and his parents, Herman and Ethel.
