Charles Altenbaugh II

Our beloved father, Charles “Chuckie” Altenbaugh II, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the age of 61 surrounded by the ones he loved.

He is survived by his mother, Connie E. Bork; sisters, Christine E. Bartic, Rebecca R. Williams-Bryant; and brother, Christian L. Altenbaugh.

He was born at Riverside Hospital on October 12, 1964. His childhood in Toledo, Ohio instilled a lifelong passion for writing and playing music. His passion for music even led to creating a band with his longtime friend, Jeff Lamb, called Zeltaed along with a few other longtime friends. Attending concerts was also one of his favorite things to do. At any given time you could also catch him reading a book! He loved to read!

He leaves behind his children Ashley (Edward) Flores, Adam (Nora) Altenbaugh and April (Heather) Altenbaugh; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild, along with his cat, Garfield.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert (Loretta) Altenbaugh; father, Charles L. Altenbaugh; uncles, Robert and Michael Altenbaugh; aunt, Elizabeth (Ronald) Rowland; brother, Cary Altenbaugh; and brother-in-law, Robert Bartic.

Information for a Celebration of life will be announced at a later time.

The family asks any donations made in his honor be sent to any family shelter that helps families in need, as he had a huge heart and helped out anyone he could.
