Cecilia Ragans

Cecilia Beatrice Ragans was born July 9, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio to Lillian Gaither. Cecilia departed life on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the age of 78. Cecilia graduated from Scott High School and earned her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Toledo. She was also a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Mrs. Ragans taught first graders at Gunckel School for several decades. Later, she supervised and coordinated the Computer Lab at Ella P. Stewart Academy for Girls. After teaching and nurturing young learners for 52 years, Cecilia retired from the Toledo Public School District in June of 2011. She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her family and a host of friends and loved ones. Cecilias husband, William Bill Ragans; mother, Lillian Gaither and grandmother, Mrs. Mamie Gaither all preceded her in death. There will be no funeral services nor visitation. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice. Tomorrows wont ever be the same, Because you will not answer the phone.
