Obituary

Cathy Lou DeAngelo, age 75, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026 in Swanton, Ohio. Cathy was born to Marion Lou Cupp and Barbara Cupp (Varnes) on July 16, 1950 in Kingsport, TN.

Cathy was a graduate of Whitmer High School, and enjoyed golfing, boating and any time spent on or near the water. She always spoke fondly of her time spent living on the California coastline and nights spent swimming alone in the ocean. Cathy also devoted many years as an active member of ORYC and as a chair on their Ladies Auxiliary. Her most favorite thing in the world was time spent with her two beautiful granddaughters, Lilly and Sophie Bojarski.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Bojarski; and her beloved grandmother, Helen Varnes.

Left to cherish Cathy's memory are her brother, Marc (Judy) Cupp; son, Robert Krashiewski; daughter, Missy Frederick; granddaughters, Lilly and Sophie Bojarski; grandcat, Maya Frederick; and her close friend, April Greisinger.

Cathy will always be remembered for her fun loving personality, sense of humor, and unmistakable laugh. If you find yourself missing her laugh, all you have to do is tell her daughter a joke.

A Private Celebration of Life shall be held for family and friends on a later date. In Lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a contribution in Cathy's memory should consider a donation made towards her granddaughter's futures or to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in honor of her son, Michael.

The family also gives thanks to the Southern Care Hospice team and to the Swanton Valley Rehabilitation team for their care in her final days, including her favorite nurse, Henry.
