Carolyn S. Murphy

Mrs. Carolyn Samantha (Chandler) Murphy, 67, of Toledo, Ohio, departed this life on Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, surrounded by family. She was born on January 1, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Louis and Lena (Jones) Chandler.

Carolyn grew up in Toledo, Ohio where she attended Scott High School. She later was employed at the Darlington House as a State Tested Nurse's Aide (STNA) for thirty years. Carolyn enjoyed yard work, floral arrangements, and cooking; neckbones and potatoes was her favorite dish. Most importantly, she loved her family.

Loved ones that have cleared the path for Carolyn are her parents, Lena Mae Jones and Louis (Ella Chandler); husband, Murry Murphy; sisters, Glacie Marie Weaver, Evelena Robinson, Joanne Piggee, Rose Marie Chandler, and Ruth Walker, and brother, Jessie Chandler. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory her son, Murry Chandler; daughter, Dametra Chandler; sisters, Lena (Willie) Shaw, Vernita Wilson, Yvonne Shaheer, Theresa Edwards- (Steven) Foster, Gloria (Tyrone) Riley, and Denise Jones; brothers, Thomas Chandler and Phillip Chandler; granddaughter, Auredia Chandler; great grandchildren, Michael Carter, Aurel Carter, and Ana Carter; godson, Jerome Stewart; goddaughter, Haven Sammi and a special nephew, Antonio "Tony" Chandler.
