Carol Leona Nicholson fell asleep in death on February 24th, 2022, at Bowling Green Manor, Bowling Green, Ohio. She is survived by her children: Robert (Mary) Powell of Fostoria, Diane Ward of Bowling Green, TeriAnn (Mark) Phillips of Findlay, and Cory (Natasha) Furniss of Strasburg, Colorado. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Hagen of Vancouver, Washington, 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Christine Young and Sharlene Stauffer, a granddaughter, Sarah Franklin, and a grandson, Brian Young. On June 22, 1932, Carol was born in Findlay, Ohio to Blanche and Willard Decker. Her family moved to Fostoria, where she attended school and graduated with the class of 1950. She became a legal secretary and was employed by local attorneys and Hancock County Courts. She retired from Hancock County Job & Family Services in Findlay, Ohio. Carol was a woman of many talents. She was a designer, seamstress, musician, artist, writer, and poet (just to name a few). However, the closest to her heart was Jesus and her children. She loved to read the Bible. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. The family would like to acknowledge Fox Run Manor of Findlay (especially the therapy department), Bowling Green Manor, and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their exceptional care. A memorial talk will be given via Zoom on Saturday, March 12th, 2022, at 2:30 pm. There will also be a DVD presentation of photos in remembrance of her. If you would like to attend, please contact the family at 419-701-1555 to obtain the information needed such as ID and passcode. The family respected her wishes to be cremated. Carol was looking forward to this earth being restored to a beautiful paradise that Jehovah God had originally intended it to be and soon will be...a time when death will be no more and when tears of sorrow and pain will be replaced with only tears of joy; when Jesus will call out to her during the grand resurrection and say, "Carol, wake up and join your family and friends!" (John 5:28,29; Psalm 37:10,11,29; Revelation 21:3-5) Her family and friends look forward to that joyous time soon to come!
