Carol A. Croniser

Carol Ann (Western) Croniser, 77, of Sylvania, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at Flower Hospital. She was born July 14, 1946 in Dumas, Arkansas to Vernon T. Western and Frances B. McBee.

Carol is survived by her children, Leon McGee, Jr of Toledo, Lisa (Ron) Ferguson of Sylvania, Craig (Amanda) Gordy of Sylvania, and Nicole (Marco) Ortiz of Toledo; grandchildren, Brittany (Kevin) Byers, Chloe (Sean) Hurley, Olivia Ferguson, Lola, Stella, Marco Jr, Addison, Cayden, Aslyn, and Austin; her three beloved great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Emersyn and Jace; brother, Vernon Western of El Segundo, California; former husband and companion, Leon McGee Sr; loving niece, Wendy (Mike) Georgevich of Daytona, Florida and nephew, Craig (Courtney) Western of San Francisco, California.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon; mother, Frances; and sisters, Martha and Margaret.

Carol attended Woodard High School, graduating in 1964. She was a stay-at-home mom when her children were young then had a long career in the medical field as a unit clerk at Toledo Hospital, ending in the registration department at ProMedica.

Carol’s greatest joy was her family. She continued to babysit two days a week for her great-granddaughters, which gave her so much pleasure. She loved to go to the movies and travel.

As per Carol’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
