Carla LeAnn Phillips

Carla LeAnn Phillips, age 75, of Wayne, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, Ohio.

She was born July 27, 1950, in Fostoria, Ohio, to the late Joseph Richard “Dick” Alexander and JoAnn Marie (Schmeltz) Alexander. Carla married Bob Phillips on May 7, 2001, in Wayne, Ohio. He preceded her in death in September of 2001.

Carla is survived by her sons, Jason Widmer and Jeff Widmer, both of Tiffin, Ohio; her grandson, Kade Widmer of Tiffin, Ohio; and her granddaughter, Lacy Widmer of Bradner, Ohio. She is also survived by her sister, Francie Patterson of Luckey, Ohio; her brothers, Dave (Anetta) Alexander, Matt Alexander, Eric (Darla) Alexander, and Joe (Stephanie) Alexander, all of Wayne, Ohio; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Phillips; her son, Jimmy Widmer; her sister, Leslie Shultz; and her brother, Chris Alexander.

Carla enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and playing bingo. She was artistically gifted and enjoyed painting in acrylics, watercolors, and oils. Carla also enjoyed baking and reading with her granddaughter, Lacy, and treasured trips to Michigan with friends.

Carla will be remembered for her quiet creativity, love of family, and enjoyment of life’s everyday moments.
