Carl Marset Thomas

Carl, 67, was born April 1, 1955 in San Diego, California to the late Melvina Thomas. The Lord called him home on May 5, 2022. Carl loved cooking, fishing, gardening, playing chess, and spending quality time with his son Aaron. He went to most of his son’s sports games and practices. When he went to California he had to have Mexican food, especially tacos, and he enjoyed playing dominoes with his best friend Chuck. For seven years he and his wife were foster parents; he really loved caring for his foster kids. He was a great foster dad and gave the kids the loving father relationship that many children don’t get the opportunity to have. Carl and Debera’s foster daughter Jamie is heartbroken that he is no longer in her life. Carl was a loving husband and father and will be forever missed and loved by his Wife Debera of 22 years; Sons David and Aaron; Daughters Barbara, Tina, Anna, Leah, and Sami; Daughter-in-law Brittany; Sisters Willie Ruth, Kathleen and Mavis; Brothers Willey and Roderick; Aunt Bobbie Odom and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Later in life he rediscovered his father’s side of his family, including Brothers Gerald, Dewayne and KK, and Sisters Jennifer and Carmen. He enjoyed being the big brother and oldest of that side of his family. He was preceded in death by his Brother Atman and Cousin Charles. The family of Carl wishes to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy, prayers and all acts of kindness extended to them during their hour of bereavement. Don’t think of him gone away, his journey’s just begun, Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one. Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.
