Candisue Rains

Our Heavenly Father received another angel on May 22, 2025.

Cadisue Rains, age 59, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born at Bixby Hospital in Adrian, Michigan, to Hal R. and Sanda A. Stine on August 27, 1965. She was a proud resident of Swanton, Ohio, and a 1983 graduate of Pike-Delta-York school system.

She leaves behind her husband, James Rain, of 41 years… “In all the world there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world there is no love for you like mine.”; her children, Samantha E. (Glen) Davenport, Joshua J. Rains, and Jordan M. Rains … “What it’s like to be a parent…It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done…But in exchange it taught me the meaning of unconditional love.”; and her grandchildren, Mitchell, Ryan, Bryce, Aliena, Jaxson, Avery, Molli-mai, Harley, Charlie-liu, and Hunter… “Wherever your journey in life may take you, I pray you’ll always be safe, never forget your way back home. I can’t promise to be here for the rest of your life, but I can promise that you were loved for the rest of mine.”.

Candi worked 15 years of blood, sweat, and tears at Allen Logistics under Monica and the crew, “If work isn’t fun, you’re not playing on the right team”.

Candi is also survived by her two brothers; three sisters; mother-in-law, Virginia Rains; stepmother, Marry Jeanne Stine; and her aunt, Janet Winterhalter… “Mothers are like glue. Even when you can’t see them, they’re still holding the family together.”.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, James H. Rains; her father, Hal R. Stine; her uncle, Robert Stine; and her brother-in-laws, Steven S. Sanderson and Joe H. Memillin.

With Candi, family was always her first priority, “Grief never ends…But it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith…It is the price of love”.

There will be a celebration of life at a later time.
