Calvin O. Brooks

Calvin O Brooks known affectionately by family and friends as 'STONE' passed away aged 70 years at Toledo Hospital on December 31, 2025. Calvin was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, from the union of William (Bilbo) Brooks and the late, Ottie Dee (Duerson) Brooks. The Brooks family moved to Toledo, Ohio, in 1961, with Calvin attending Sherman Elementary and Scott High School. Calvin worked at Baker's Transmission shop as a mechanic, before moving on to Roadway Express Trucking Company. Calvin was a Jack of all trades; assisting family and friends with many home remodeling and construction projects. Calvin was a faithful fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Denver Broncos. He also enjoyed drag racing and fishing.

Calvin leaves to cherish his memory, Uncle, Otha Duerson; cousins, Debra, Carmen and Taylor Duerson; longtime friends, Charles Davies, Gregory Davies, Willie Williams (Stretch), and Kim Aldridge. Close friends preceded in death are the late, Ray Avery and Willie Baker.
