Brice Ray Luttrell, 73, of Lyons, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025. Born on November 3, 1951, in Adrian, Michigan, Brice spent most of his life in his hometown before moving to Lyons, Ohio, where he lived for the last 13 years.
Brice was a devoted husband to Wendy, with whom he recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Their half-century of marriage was a testament to their enduring love and commitment. He was the beloved son of the late Ernest Ray and Samantha Sue (Hyder) Luttrell.
A dedicated and loving father, Brice is survived by his four children, Amy (Tim), Rebecca, Elizabeth (Scott), and Brice Jr (Angie). He also leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren, Juan, Anthony, Lucas, Mandy, Miranda, Leslie, Lindsey, Heather, Jasmine, Alexis, William, Allison, Mason, and Ashlyn, as well as several great-grandchildren. Brice was a beloved brother to Rick Schoenmann, Linda Stevenson, Brenda Sager, David Luttrell, Barbara Luttrell, Elbert Luttrell, and Carolyn Bradley, all of whom survive him.
Brice was a skilled tradesman, working in maintenance for Stauffer Chemical, the state of Michigan, and eventually retired from DTE Energy. Beyond his professional life, Brice's greatest passion was his family. He was a truly dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and brother, always offering unwavering support and love. Known as a friend to all, Brice was celebrated for his generous spirit and his ability to make everyone feel valued.
Brice's passion for music shone through in his remarkable ability to play nearly any instrument he picked up. He was a talented guitar and harmonica player, performing throughout his life. He found joy in gardening and preserving food, and loved to travel, experiencing new places and diverse cuisines as an adventurous foodie.
Brice was a deeply faithful man who lived his life by the Word, reading the Bible daily. His faith guided his actions, inspiring him to treat everyone with kindness and dignity. He was a funny man who always kept things light, even in the darkest times, possessing a unique ability to diffuse difficult situations with humor. He was full of wisdom, often reminding his children to "save their days" and to "make hay when the sun shines."
Brice's kindness, humor, wisdom, and profound love for his family and friends will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In accordance with Brice's wishes, cremation has taken place, and private services are planned to honor his life.
