Brian Christopher Pollard

December 19, 1971 — May 23, 2023

On Tuesday evening, May 23,2023 at the age of 51 Brian Pollard was granted eternal peace and was welcomed into heaven by his dad, Roger Pollard and his beloved dogs Amos, Shadow, Louie and his cat Psycho. We are comforted in knowing that Brian gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Ultimately saving the lives of at least 3 people with his liver and kidneys, not to mention countless others.

Brian was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 19, 1971 and was a 1990 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School. He was employed by Cornerstone Managed Properties where he worked with his cousin Rich for over 20 years.

Brian’s life can be summed up with these words.. Family, Friends, Football, Baseball, Golf, Pool, Gaming and don’t forget the Hollywood Casino, Las Vegas, and Haunted Houses!! Growing up, the Pollard’s had so many family gatherings, from cookouts, music, dancing, Halloween parties, 4th Of July Fireworks, and who could forget our family/friends Euchre tournaments. All accompanied by great food, fun, laughter and so many memories.

Brian’s football passion, of course, was the Green Bay Packers, just like his dad. They made it to Lambeau Field for the trip of a lifetime with his cousins Pooh and Rich in 2014. That would be the first and last trip they all took together to Green Bay, Roger passed the following March of 2015. His other passion was Baseball and the Detroit Tigers. He played baseball & softball for many, many years with his dad Roger, cousins Pooh, Rich and Ora “Bo” and many friends, great memories made together!

Then we go to Golf and playing Pool, which he followed in his dad’s footsteps. Those two loved the competitive side of life, who would outscore each other first, such a heartwarming bond they had, always having each other’s back.

Another one of Brian’s greatest accomplishments was purchasing his own home in 2007, he was SO proud.

Brian is survived by his mother Pam (Gary) Krieger, Sisters April (Jason) Waite, Kelly (Anthony) Basi, Stepsister Brandi (Patrick) Chaney, Stepbrother Edward (Amy) Michalak. Stepmom of 37 years Connie Brooks, Brother Chuck Brooks. Aunts Patricia Tatkowski, Kim Leeming, Debbie Pollard, Uncle Lee Nuhfer. Nieces Avery Basi, Navy Waite, Meaghan, Rachel and Marley Chaney, Ellie Michalak. Nephews Michael Waite, Eli Basi and Evan Michalak. Special cousins Pooh Nuhfer, Michelle Cofer, Rich Folck and Ora “Bo” Pollard. Beloved extended family Tiffany Zink son Lukas Brooks, Brittany Winters son Logan Hicks, Todd Grimes (baby Owen) and Karra Julian. As well as many more beloved extended family and friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his dad Roger Pollard, his grandparents Ora and Anna Mae (Baisden) Pollard, William and Faye Garner. Aunts Sonia (Pollard) Edwards and Rhonda (Pollard) Nuhfer, Uncle Ora Lee “Jack” Pollard. Extended family Ethel Brooks, Trish Winters and Hillery England.

In closing, Brian has touched many, many lives and he will be in our hearts forever! Thanks for the memories – till we meet again!

A special thank you to the medical staff at Toledo Hospital, especially nurses Micheala and Haley for their excellent care of Brian during his final days. Our families thank you both from the bottom of our hearts. We also would like to thank Life Connections of Ohio who held all our hands and helped us walk Brian on his final journey home. As well as their continued care of Brian throughout the donation process. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a charity that is close to their heart.

An interment of ashes will be announced at a later date.
