Brian S. Burket

Brian Stewart Burket passed away on May 7, 2024 at the age of 60.

He served in the US Army from 1983 through 1986. He was stationed in Germany and worked as an infantry medic. He eventually came back to the states and served as a medic in the hospital in Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Brian was a talented musician. He could play piano and guitar and loved doing so for his family. He especially loved Bob Seger’s music. Brian even liked to teach others to play music and had jam sessions every weekend while living in North Carolina.

Brian’s favorite football team was the Cincinnati Bengals, regardless if they won or lost. A true fan. He had an Irish sense of humor and loved to tell stories, most of which we think were true. Brian enjoyed a lively game of Euchre while at family functions. He always expressed his affection for his family and we will all miss him very much.

Brian is survived by his son, Robert; sisters, Karen (Doyle) and Kathleen (Ted); and brothers, Randy and David. He had 4 nephews and 5 nieces, as well as 3 great nephews and 5 great nieces. He will always have a special place in the heart of his former wife of 25 years, Meg Colson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sally Burket.

The family will hold a private memorial.
