Brett Thomas Lamour, 59, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on August 22, 2026, in Toledo.

Brett was born on October 19, 1966, in Toledo, Ohio, to Thomas Charles and Sharon A. (Haas) Lamour. He grew up in Bedford, Michigan.

Brett was a dedicated U.S. Army Veteran and served with the 10th Mountain Division. He earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal science from the University of Toledo and was a proud Freemason. He valued the brotherhood and friendships he formed through the fraternity.

Brett was a very intelligent and curious person who loved to learn. He was an avid reader and almost always had a book with him. He also had a deep love for nature and the outdoors and had an incredible knowledge of the natural world.

Left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Kurt Lamour and family, Maria (Mickey) Dahmoun and family, and Leslie (Tony Osman) Lamour and family. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Brett will be remembered for his love of reading, his intelligence, his appreciation for nature, and his service to his country. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
