Brandy Bates

Brandy Bates, age 53 years old, of Stryker, Ohio, passed away on December 18, 2023, in Toledo, Ohio. Brandy was known for his artistic abilities in graphite drawing. He attended Gorham-Fayette High School and Four County Joint Vocational School, where he specialized in drafting.

Brandy was born on March 19, 1970, in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of William Lloyd and Sherry (Hand) Bates.

He is survived by his daughters, Summer Bates, of Delta, Ohio, and Kayla Howard, of Berkey, Ohio;

brothers, William (Sonya) Shane, of Springville, Alabama, Jason (Lisa) Dietrich, of Wauseon, Ohio, and Scotty (Tamara) Bates, of Springville; one sister, Ginger Bates (Jeff) Boland, of Springville; four nieces and six nephews. Brandy was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Lee (Hand) Dietrich; father, William Lloyd Bates; brothers, Rhett Montgomery and Mark A. Bates.

In honor of Brandy's wishes, no services will be held at this time. The Cremation Society of Toledo has been entrusted with making arrangements.
