Bonita J. Kachure

Bonita “Bonnie” Kachure (Julius), 80, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on December 29, 1944, to Carl and Dorothy Julius. Bonnie had a deep love for her dogs, outdoors, gardening, traveling, cooking, and photography. She moved to San Francisco at the age of 18 where she worked at Wells Fargo Bank, The Stanford Court Hotel, The Huntington Hotel, and in addition, was an Avon representative. She married her longtime friend, Richard Kachure, who was the love of her life, on February 14, 1999. They spent many years together in New Jersey before returning to their Ohio roots in Maumee. They built a beautiful life and home during their 20-year marriage prior to Richard’s passing.

Bonnie is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, sister Barbara (John) DeMars, stepchildren Jason Kachure, Amy Dardis, and step grandson, Anthony Giambrone. She is survived by her niece, Shannon Keefer and children Lilly and Cole Keefer, nephew Robert (Kelly) DeMars and children Justin and Max DeMars, cousin Judy Peiper, stepdaughters Christine (Mike) Sine, Leslie (Rick) Scott, step grandchildren Alex (Charlotte) Csillag, Tyler (Kylie), Colin, and Riley Scott, Justyn Kachure, Jordan (Noah) Becker, Evan (Matt) Craig, Vincent (Sammi) Gallinetti, and many beloved friends both near and far.
