Beverly Ann Dydo Wilson

November 12, 1941 — January 12, 2026

Beverly Ann Dydo Wilson passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, at Rosary Care, surrounded by compassion and dignity. She was born on November 12, 1941, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, the beloved daughter of Louis Frances Dydo and Jane Helen Weeks Dydo, who were married in 1940 and raised their family grounded in faith, love, and service.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Gitane Louise Dydo. She is survived by her brother, Jon Weeks Dydo, and his wife, Linda, along with their children, Audra McKinzie, Chloe Kestermont (Eddie), and Lee Dydo (Menan).

From an early age, Beverly demonstrated a deep devotion to education and her Catholic faith. At age 14, she entered Notre Dame Academy in Toledo and later earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio. Following graduation, Beverly answered a calling to religious life and joined the Sisters of Notre Dame, serving as a sister for more than 20 years. During this time, she taught English, art, and religion at Notre Dame Academy in Toledo and at Sandusky Central Catholic School, shaping countless young lives through her wisdom, creativity, and gentle guidance.

After leaving the religious community, Beverly continued teaching at Central Catholic High School in Toledo. Ever guided by a desire to serve and care for others, she pursued nursing and graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in 1986. She began her nursing career at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio, and later served at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, where she worked in Oncology, Pulmonary, and ultimately Palliative Care. In this role, she offered comfort, dignity, and compassion to patients and families during their most vulnerable moments until her retirement.

On June 12, 1987, Beverly married Steve Wilson, embracing a loving partnership and a blended family that became central to her life. She was a devoted stepmother to Steve’s children; Rachael Frazier (Jeff), Rebecca Gilsdorf (Andrew), and Peter Wilson. Beverly was a proud and loving grandmother to Ben, Josh, Preston, Parker, Grace, Lyla, Jason, and Ethan, each of whom brought her great joy.

To all who knew her, Beverly was a steady and compassionate presence—wise, thoughtful, and quietly strong. Whether as a sister of Notre Dame, teacher, nurse, wife, stepmother, grandmother, or friend, she lived her Catholic faith through service, humility, and love. Her life was a testament to education, healing, and mercy, and her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.

A service celebrating Beverly’s life will be held at a later date and will be shared appropriately with family and friends.

May she rest in the eternal peace of Christ.
