Betty Mae Williams of Oak Harbor OH passed away on Saturday October 6th 2012 during a short stay at Ebeid Hospice Residence at the age of 80. She was born on July 21 1932 in Toledo Ohio to the late Eva Mae and Albert Martin. Betty is survived by her husband Gerald R. Williams of Oak Harbor OH, son Charles A. Ostermyer (Deborah) of Sylvania OH, brother William R. Martin of Oak Harbor OH, sister-in law Wilma Martin of Waterville OH, step-daughters Jerri Holden (Tom) Of Napoleon OH, Joy Wagner (Tim) of Napoleon OH, Janet Williams (Neal Martin) of Holgate OH, Joann Nalicat (Melinda Mitchell) of Lake Havasu City AZ, and Jackie Martinez (Dave) of Napoleon OH. Betty is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her beloved 12 year old toy poodle Raz. Preceding her in death was her son Jerry Ostermyer and brother Al Martin Jr. In 1949 Bettys family purchased the Uptown Grill in downtown Waterville, OH where Betty managed the kitchen until 1973 when the business was sold. Bettys love of children lead her to open a childrens resale shop which was very successful for many years. When her husband Gerry retired they moved to sunny North Ft. Myers Florida to spend their winters where she worked in real estate for a few years. During the summer months they headed back north to spend their time enjoying Lake Erie while living at Inland Marina in Oak Harbor. Betty worked at the marina store for seven years. The family will be holding a private memorial. Memorial contributions may be made to Ebeid Hospice Residence or Toledo Area Humane Society.
