Betty L. Mohler

December 17, 1935 — May 17, 2020

Betty L. Mohler, 84, of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away on May 17, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Margaret and Ted Sharp, December, 17, 1935. Betty graduated from Libbey High School in 1953 and received her RN degree from Riverside Nursing School in 1957. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star (earning her 65 year pin award last year) and Riverside School of Nursing Alumni. Betty married the late Chalmer Mohler, Jr and they lived together in Monclova, Ohio before relocating to Lillian, Alabama for their retirement years. They enjoyed walks on the beach, camping, gardening and traveling. Shortly after “Mo’s” death and numerous hurricanes, Betty moved back to Whitehouse, Ohio to live with her daughter, Cheri and family (Kenny, Kevin, Sarah & Brandy) for the past fifteen years. Here she loved spending time at Sunset Cove Campground with close friends enjoying morning coffee and bonfires with all who came visiting! She took great joy in rescuing Sheltie dogs and raised many of them over the years. Her life was dedicated to caring for others and she always put others needs before her own. She loved to joke around and make people laugh.  Betty is survived by her brother Jack Sharp (Carolyn) and two children Gary Mohler (Kathy) and Cheri Outly (Ken) and is predeceased by her son Terry Mohler. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Inurnment will take place at Fort Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola FL beside her beloved “Mo” at a future date to be determined. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you send your donation to Community of Christ Lutheran Church, 6517 Finzel Road, Whitehouse, Ohio, 43571. To best honor Betty, funds will be dedicated to planting a tree in loving memory for all to enjoy!
