Betty Jane Blay

Jane, 94, passed away February 19, 2012 at Hospice of NWO. She was born January 24, 1918 to Arthur J. and Emma M. (Botkin) Frey in Toledo, Ohio. Jane was an accomplished artist and worked at Sears Westgate as a tailor. She was a lifetime member of the 2nd Church of Christ Scientist. She married Fredrick M. Vollmar in 1939 and Merl L. Blay in 1973. Surviving are her son, Mark (Pat) Vollmar; daughter, Gayle Retzloff; daughter-in-law, Joan Vollmar; grandchildren, Ronald Vollmar, Donald Vollmar, Christy Bacholl, Dorothy Swiatecki, Ben (Amanda) Retzloff, Jason (Jaime) Meyers, Mark (Renee) Vollmar and Ashley (Jesus) Castillo. Also surviving are 9 1/2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands; son, Fredrick M. Vollmar Jr.; daughter, Jane A. Hardy; brothers, Wilbur, Walter and Robert Frey; and sisters, Marie Weis and Ruth Bushroe. The family would like to thank the staffs at Kingston Rehab and Hospice of NWO for the loving care of our mother. Cremation has taken place.
