Barry C. Bauman

Barry Clinton Bauman, 72, passed away at his home in Genoa, Ohio on April 2, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife & family. Barry was born May 28, 1950, to Gerald & Phyllis Bauman. Barry loved his wife, family & his kitties. His buddy Gizmo will miss him dearly. Barry graduated from Lake High School (Millbury, OH) in 1969. Barry decided to join the United States Marine Corp right out of high school. Barry loved passing time with his sticker puzzles, word search & building his mini car models. If you knew Barry, you knew him as a jokester & loved acting silly; he fit right in with the grandkids. He loved to watch his Dallas Cowboys on Sundays.

Surviving is his loving wife, Debbie (Fisher) Bauman; children, Craig (Casey) Hattery, Heather Bauman, Bryan (Dannielle) Bauman, Jennifer (Jay) Essing, and Brian (Jamie) Fisher-Mock; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Debra) Bauman; sisters, Rebekah Bauman, Gail Sundermeier and Karen (Rick) Murphy; cats, Gizmo, Oliver, SJ, Simba, and Baby; 3 grand pups, Stella, Peanut and Midnight.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Gerald & Phyllis Bauman; late wife, Dianne Bauman; grandson, Damion Bauman;  great-grandson, Jose Romero III; and his kitty girl, Sinder Anne.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Hall Post #324, 302 West St, Genoa, OH 43430 on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 11:30 am until the service at 12:30 p.m.

Thank you to his many nurses & doctors at The University of Michigan & VA Hospital over the last two years, and especially Hospice for the care they were able to give him in his last days. The family truly appreciates each & every one of them.
