Barbara Ann Wernert, a native of Toledo who was born to John and Gracemary Wernert, died May 27th from complications with cancer.
Barb graduated from Bowsher High School, class of 1977, and found her first job at Rapid Reproduction in downtown Toledo. Fred Pinkus (known as Pinkus the Printer) gave her this first job. She loved him and working for him. After Fred retired, she went to work for Connie Pelwecki at her Print & Copy Stop business on Secor Road in Toledo. She greatly enjoyed the customers she developed over the years in working with Connie and made many lifelong friends.
After retiring from printing, Barb spent time helping elderly people who needed extra help while still in their homes. She was also very proud to have begun researching the family history. She created a detailed ancestry for both sides of her family tree, which she leaves for them to carry on.
Barb is survived by her husband of 32 years, David Cook; ex-husband, Tom Kornacki; sisters, Sue and Helen; brothers, Dave, Pete, Joe, and Matt; and many nieces and nephews.
At Barb’s request there will be no service.
