Barbara Ruth Murdock

Heaven gained the most beautiful angel on Monday, March 21, 2022. Barbara R. Murdock, 85, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of loving family. Barbara was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 11, 1937, to Walter and Dorothy Lindsey (Bitter). She attended DeVilbiss High School and graduated from Toledo University. In her younger years, she worked for Prudential. After raising her own children, Barb started babysitting, which gave her tremendous joy. She had many babysitting kids that she loved and adored, and they felt the same way about her. Barb was a lifelong card player. One of her favorite games was Hand and Foot. Everyone knew Barb loved the sun, as she was an avid sunbather for years. She also was a devoted member of Calvary Bible Chapel. She was the most kind and warm-hearted woman and a beautiful loving friend to so many. Barb married James E. Murdock on February 1, 1969, who passed away January 30, 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Siesel, son James Murdock, grandchildren, Lindsey Weaver (Mike Long), Shawn Siesel, Nathan Weaver and Kyle Siesel and beloved nieces and nephews and sister in law, Pam Kreutz. Barb is preceded in death by her husband, James, her parents, son in law, Kenneth Siesel, daughter in law, Tammy Murdock, sisters, Dorothy Heckler and Coralyn Calderone and brother Walter Lindsey. There will be no service at this time. We will celebrate Barbara’s life at a later date. I would like to thank Elmwood Assisted Living and Promedica Hospice in Fremont, Ohio for their wonderful care of our mother and grandmother in the last 4 weeks of her life.
