Barbara Mewborn

Barbara (Francisco) Mewborn, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Traditions at West Park Place in Toledo, Ohio.

She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on August 9, 1941 to Raymond and Barbara (McKie) Francisco. She was proceeded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister Susan (Denny) Finney of Lorain; her children, Todd (Kelli) Mewborn of Toledo and Chris (Kim) Mewborn of Delta; and her grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas, and Jacob.

She worked as a nurse at various Toledo hospitals and was a Drug and Alcohol counselor at The Tennyson Center and St. Vincent Hospital. She was well respected by her colleagues, was an excellent counselor, and spent many years helping others by building relationships.

Barb was loved by many for her sense of humor and the interest she took in their lives. Barb enjoyed living on a boat for many years, traveling to and from Florida. She also enjoyed knitting, decorating, gardening, and her cats. She was an amazing grandmother and loved spending time with her three grandsons. She was actively involved in their lives and loved attending their events and celebrating their achievements.

Visitation will be held at Boulevard Christian Church, 7041 W. Sylvania Ave., Sylvania, Ohio on Saturday, June 10 from 1:00-2:00, followed by a memorial service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Traditions at West Park Place for the amazing love and care they provided for Barb.
