Barbara Marie Keller

Barbara Marie Keller passed away peacefully in her home on January 18, 2011 at the age of 82. She was born on June 24,1928 in Toledo, to John and Virginia Arens, and spent her youth living on the East Side of Toledo. She married Donald W. Keller on October 6, 1950. They built their own home together in Perrysburg, where they lived the past 60 years.Barbara was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing. She was an avid reader, and she loved working outside with Don and spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara is best known to all who knew and loved her as being one of the kindest and most generous people they ever knew. Her genuinely beautiful smile was contagious, and she was rarely seen without wearing it.Mrs. Keller was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church for many years. She was a Sunday school teacher for various age groups and loved working with children. She volunteered in many other areas of the church whenever needed, as well.Barbara is survived by her husband, Donald; children: Douglas (Sue) Keller, Thomas (Lonnie) Keller, and Cindy (Hassan) Baroudi; grandchildren:Christopher (Tiffany) Keller; Samantha Avaritt; and Shadi, Robby and Danny Baroudi; great-grandson: Gavin Keller; brothers: Captain John Arens and Thomas Arens; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Delores St. Germain, and her daughter, Becky Keller.The family wishes to extend their immense gratitude and love to Regina and Pat, and the other caregivers from Hospice of Northwest Ohio, for their excellent care of Barbara during these past few weeks, and the loving support they provided the family.In accordance with her wishes, Barbara was cremated, and a private memorial service will be held.
