Barbara Jean Dunbar

Barbara Jean Dunbar passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 3:35pm in her home at the age of 66. She was born in Waukegan, Illinois on November, 8, 1942 to the late Gene and Mercil Jean (Organ) Hires. She later married Thomas Dunbar. Mrs. Dunbar retired from Owens Corning in 1998. She is survived by a daughter, Dominie (Keith) Destatte of Toledo, Ohio; a grandson, Atticus Destatte at home; two sisters, Judith (Bill) DeWeerd of Sylvania, Ohio and Susan Perry of Toledo, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Karen Dunbar; and a host of nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Ronald Dunbar and a brother, John David Hires. Barbara will be continually be loved and missed by all who knew her. Donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 800 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43609. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 5pm at the Epiphany Lutheran Church, 915 North Reynolds Rd. Mrs. Dunbars care has been entrusted to the Cremation Society of Toledo.
