Arthur Clinton Purtee, Ii

Arthur "Art" Purtee II, age 61, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Art worked at Chapman’s Quickprint in East Toledo and retired from there in 2009. He enjoyed being outside and camping; he was a long time seasonal camper. He loved boating, fishing and hunting; he especially loved preparing the food that he caught. He also loved cooking big meals for his family and friends; from breakfast burritos to chili to steaks, Art’s house was the place to be for a good meal.

For many years he raised Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and Labrador Retrievers and was proud of the dogs he trained them to be. He was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Michigan Wolverines. Above all, his greatest joy was his children and grandchildren and his happiest moments were when they were all together.

Art was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Art is survived by his children, Bryan (Brittany Bigger) Purtee, Christopher (Lauren) Purtee, and Sammantha (Andy) Adams; grandchildren, Hayden, Christopher Jr., Leah and Bryson; along with many loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Arthur “Artie” Clinton Purtee III; his beloved dog, FatBoy; and his parents, Arthur & Millie Purtee.
