Angela S (Miller) Alvarado, age 48, of Gibsonburg, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021, at her home with her family by her side after a seven-year battle with breast cancer. She was born June 26, 1973, at Memorial Hospital in Fremont, Ohio to Edward and Betty (Pitzen) Miller. Even though Angie battled breast cancer for many years, you would never have known it. She always had a huge smile on her face and was optimistic through it all while keeping her strong faith. Angie was a 1991 graduate of Woodmore High School as well as Penta Vocational School. In 1994 she married her childhood sweetheart, Juan M Alvarado and they later had two children: Jose and Javen. Angie loved being a mother but also had a career outside of the home. She worked for seven years at Atlas Industries in Gibsonburg, and later worked as a home health care provider for the elderly then eventually started a home cleaning business where her clients loved her like family. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends while sharing her passion for anything outdoors especially gardening, flowers, bird watching, kayaking, camping, and being in the sun. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time and creating memories with her granddaughter Luna Rose (age 7), swimming, crafting, and cuddling while watching movies. Angie was always up for an adventure, loved traveling, including road trips, and spending time with her childhood very best friend Zoe-Marie. Angie’s home was always open to friends and family where she enjoyed sharing stories, laughs, and cold beverages around her fire pit. She is survived by her former husband and best friend Juan Alvarado, children Jose and Javen, and granddaughter Luna Rose of Gibsonburg, her mother Betty Miller of Fremont, siblings: Betty Kline of Oak Harbor, Cheri Miller of Clyde, Diana (Jonathan) Walker of Arizona, and Edward (Gini) Miller of Bellevue along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Edward Miller, brother-in-law Joseph Alvarado, nephew Sgt Keith Kline, and many life-long friends. During her years of illness, Angie was deeply touched by the number of friends and family who reached out to her with prayers, gifts, love, and support. In her final months, she spent much of her time with her long-time friend Gini who cared for her till the very end. The family will be forever grateful for Gini’s selfless act of love. Mass will be 10:30 on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at St Michael’s Catholic Church in Gibsonburg with graveyard service following immediately at St Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg, Ohio.
