Andre Choate

Andre 'Dre' Darnell Choate, age 44, was born on March 31, 1981, in Toledo, Ohio to Linda D. Choate & Nathaniel Choate Sr.

Andre was very loving & giving individual. As a small child, his favorite food was popcorn, but since he couldn't say 'pop', he called it pa'corn; which turned into a running joke within the family for years.

Andre attended Pickett elementary, Laverette Jr H.S & Woodward H.S. He left Woodward & attended Cleveland Job Corp for 2 years. He later enrolled in ENCOT (Emaculate Northeastern college of Theology) for Chaplaincy where he received his certification in 2023.

Andre was a self-taught musician & dedicated his talent to serving God by playing for 2 churches: The Body of Christ Fellowship & Faith Ministries.

In addition to his passion for music, Andre loved detailing cars, which he demonstrated on every car he had. He was Buckeye fan that enjoyed playing billiards with friends and family, movies & travel. He was a Godfather, very good friend & one of the sweetest, positive & caring persons you could meet.

Andre departed this world Sept 4th, while in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Andre is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Choate; and sister, Kari (Choate) Allen. He is survived by his father, Nathaniel Choate Sr.; brothers, Marlon Holloway & Nate Jr; sisters, Olivia Sykes & Danielle Choate; and a host of extended family including, God aunts & sisters.

Andre will be cremated by the Cremation Society of Toledo. Family & friends are welcome to call the Society for a keepsake.

Andre's memorial service will be Sept. 15th from 6 - 7pm at The Body of Christ Fellowship, 5612 W. Bancroft st. Toledo, Ohio 43615
