Amy (Eiche) Rardin, 58, lost her battle with stage 4 ovarian cancer on the morning of December 2, 2022, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Ronald Eiche Sr. and Ruth (Ostrander) Eiche. She was the 3rd oldest of 5. Amy graduated from Rogers High School in 1982. She married her best friend, Fred Rardin on June 2, 1984 and together they raised 3 kind, honest, hard working children.
Family was everything to her. She really loved being a grandmother and would light up at the chance to share pictures, videos, and stories. Amy was a beautiful, kind, generous and humble soul, always taking care of others. She would say, “If you leave here hungry, it’s your own fault”. She put love into everything she did. Amy enjoyed getting together with family and friends for holidays, cook outs and other occasions, or simply for a game of cards or dice. She always looked forward to the next Bunco night with the girls. Amy was a creative person who enjoyed making things, and would more often than not have some sort of project going. She worked for 10 years as a lunch lady for Springfield Local Schools. Amy left an impression on anyone she met, she did more in her short time here than she realized. She will be very greatly missed and remembered with love by all who knew her.
Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Ruth Eiche and brother, Douglas Eiche Sr.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Fred Rardin; children, Joshua Rardin, Kayla (Kenny Waite) Rardin and Sarah (Cody Krohn) Rardin; grandchildren, Ava, Cody "CJ", Cross, Joey, Skylar, and Emily; siblings, Ronald Eiche Jr., David Eiche and Laura (Dave) Tatkowski; many other family members and many other lifelong friends
The family is a holding Celebration of Life Memorial for Amy from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo, 6520 Pilliod Road, Holland, Ohio 43528.
